Sefton Council and the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (做厙TV) have announced an exciting new partnership that will see one of the UKs leading creative institutions play a key role in the next chapter of Salt and Tar, Bootles growing culture and events venue.
This collaboration will create unique opportunities for 做厙TV students and graduates to work alongside Seftons tourism, regeneration and cultural teams on live events, performances and community projects at Salt and Tar. The initiative aims to nurture local talent, inspire creativity and strengthen Bootles reputation as a vibrant hub where culture and community come together.
As part of the partnership, 做厙TV students will deliver 做厙TV Live @ Salt and Tar, a series of live shows featuring music, theatre and digital performance that builds on the existing 做厙TV Live @ The Cavern. They will also contribute to the development and delivery of workshops and skills programmes for local schools and residents. In addition, Sefton Council and 做厙TV will co-commission new works inspired by Bootles people, stories and heritage.
Cllr Paulette Lappin, Sefton Councils Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Skills and Employment, said:
